About KAI LOU
The KAI LOU adventure all began in summer of 2007, a night out with friends, chatting how beautiful organic tomatoes tasted. The chat somehow changed the format and led its way to fashion and why organic fashion always looked non fashionable. The talk deepened but always turned to the same point; that people cared about the enviroment as they also cared about being trendy and fashionable. The chat ended that night but the idea kept me away from sleeping for sometime. After sleepless nights for 3 years, finally, somthing gave us the courage and we pushed ourselves to the frontline, KAI LOU.
The name itself was the first phenomenon. Being an “earth friendly” brand always meant, having green or eco bits in the brand name itself, like Green LOU or Eco KAI, but for us it didn’t mean that at all. Being enviromental or believing in the sustainability should be in the depth of the individual or company itself, the name where as should reflect ourselves and our joy.
Building the brand only on accessories was another weird approach, for some it looked to narrow our field of view. Well, on our side it didn’t. What we believed in KAI LOU was reflection of ourselves and our moods, respectively. We thought, accessories was the key which loosened our hidden selves to the social platforms that we fit into in our common everyday lives.
After the discovery of our non eco used brand name and localization of KAI LOU in the apparel world, we had one last but continuous step to take( effort to make ). Realisation of our fluffy words, the production, itself. Took some time, it will take more on the coming days for sure, but since that we are here, we finally have done it. Now, it’s time to enjoy sustainable fashion…
